Chico State sports have staunch supporters from all over the
city coming to sporting events.

Jim Clawson is part of this crowd.

With the wonderful weather Chico has been experiencing, Clawson made his way to Nettleton Stadium to enjoy a Wildcat baseball game with his wife.

“Today is just a great day to be outside,” Clawson said. “Good afternoon, nice weather and entertainment.”

Clawson is enjoying the life of retirement after being an employee at PG&E; for many years. He tries to make it to as many Chico State sporting events as he can.

“I’ve lived in Chico for about 30 years,” Clawson said. “We haven’t been able to make it out to many events this year, but in previous years we have gone to a bunch.”

Clawson says the low cost and enthusiasm of the crowd and athletes are what draws him out to watch the Wildcats in action.

“The athletes and crowd get so into it,” Clawson said. “It’s a great time and so cheap for so much fun.”
