Womens soccer notches road win

The Chico State women’s soccer team beat Humboldt State 2-0 on Friday afternoon.

The Wildcats scored in the 30th minute on a Shelby Lanksbury shot from 15 yards out and was buried to the the left side of the keeper. Pooja Patel assisted on the goal.

Just 11 minutes later Patel scored a goal of her own. She took a shot to the left side of the goal and put Chico State up 2-0.

Goalie Brianna Furner had eight saves on the day.

The Wildcats improve their record to 6-3-2 and take on Sonoma State on the road Sunday at 2 p.m.
