Blasted Bieber

It’s the moment everyone has been waiting for: Justin Bieber has finally been taken down a peg via the Justin Bieber Roast on Comedy Central.

The roasting took place March 30th, an event I had been anticipating for several weeks.

It was hosted by Kevin Hart, the short, fiery comedian that knows how to keep the laughs coming.

And it did not disappoint.

The line-up was amazing, from regulars like Jeff Ross and Natasha Leggero, to some surprising, yet hilarious choices like Snoop Dogg, Shaquille O’Neal and Martha Stewart.

I was laughing harder and harder with each roaster.

Shockingly, Martha Stewart was probably my favorite roaster overall. She fully embraced her TV persona and came at each attendee with full force.

As with tradition, the end of roast let’s the one that’s been roasted get up to roast everyone.

I was honestly dreading this part, as I didn’t think Bieber would be clever or funny.

But he didn’t hold back either. His opening joke was:

“What do you get when you give a teenager 200 million dollars? A bunch of has-beens calling you a lesbian for two hours.”

The most shocking part was final line though, which was actually serious. Bieber admitted his mistakes and apologized.

It honestly gave me a touch more respect for this pop-star that has always seemed to take himself too seriously. This admission, coming from someone who had previously despised him, is saying a lot.

But overall, it was one of my top favorite roasts and definitely worth watching.
