    Chico State becomes a smoke-free campus

    Chico State officiates a smoke and tobacco free campus for all students and faculty.

    The Systemwide Smoke and Tobacco Free Environment Executive Order 1108 became effective August 17. It is focused on researched effects of second and third hand smoke.

    CSU Chancellor, Timothy P. White stated in the Chancellor’s memorandum,” ‘Smoke Free’ means the use of cigarettes, pipes, cigars, and other “smoke” emanating products including e-cigarettes, vapor devices and other like products are prohibited on all University properties…“Tobacco Free” means the use of cigarettes, pipes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, snuffs, and other tobacco products are prohibited on all University properties.”
