A fire began inside a mobile home while a resident was sleeping Tuesday night.

According to Rick Carhart of Cal Fire, the homeowner was woken by a loud explosion that immediately burst his home into flames. The fire began around 7:30 p.m. on Kemen Lane in Paradise.

The man then quickly grabbed his two dogs and vacated the home without injury.

Cal Fire arrived at the scene within three minutes of the emergency call and were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

“Fifty percent of the home was saved, which is pretty good,” said Carhart. “They are usually taken down pretty fast.”

There were no injuries during the incident.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
