Forums offered this week to further discussion of fee increases

Forums offered this week to further discussion of fee increases

Two forums to allow discussion between students of proposed fee increases will be held this week.

In recent weeks, forums have taken place to allow for conversations about proposed student fee adjustments for health services, athletics, and student learning.

President Hutchinson also recently announced a decision to conclude the fee-adjustment process with an advisory student referendum. This will make it possible for students to vote on the proposed fees.

In preparation for this advisory referendum vote, there will be two meetings this week. Tuesday’s meeting will take place in Colusa 100B at 5:30 pm. On Wednesday, the forum will take place at 6 p.m. in the UHUB.

After these meetings, the referendum vote will take place on April 25 and 26. All results will then be taken into consideration before the final decision is made by Hutchinson.

A voter pamphlet with more details on each proposed fee increase is also available before voting.
