    White male at library harrassing patrons for signatures

    Chico Police:

    4:24 a.m.: Subject disturbance at Jesus Center on Park Ave. “Subject was at location earlier tonight, but has been kicked out of the shelter for 30 days. Subject is now at the shelter rattling front door and ringing the doorbell. Subject is outside mumbling and pacing back and forth. Subject is saying she was abused. Reporting party says she was dropped off by an officer earlier tonight from the Crisis Center. Reporting party requesting subject be moved along. Reporting party does not believe subject has any weapons. Subject’s 30 day suspension from shelter started a week or two ago, kicked out for being aggressive at shelter. Female left and is going to get some coffee.”

    11:05 a.m.: Wires down on E 1st Ave. “Low wire crossing the roadway at 1st/Palm Ave. Unknown if electrical or cable. Wires from a telephone pole in the area, several calls. Road crew is at the scene, they are phone lines. Road crew will turn it in and handle situation, no further assistance needed from the police.”

    10:09 p.m.: Suspicious circumstances in Save Mart on W East Ave. “Male came into the store and said someone pulled a knife on him. Victim said he wanted the reporting party to call the police but that he didn’t want to be involved in it. Victim left, no further information. Reporting party now sees the victim still in the store. Appears that the victim is shopping now. Reporting party will keep an eye on the victim and call back if he leaves. No one in front of the store. Victim gone on arrival, supposedly in the parking lot somewhere. No further information, subjects last seen in front of the store. Victim left a few minutes prior to officer arrival. Employees did not witness incident. Both subjects appear to be transient. Employees have seen them around business before.”

    University Police:

    11:54 a.m.: Elevator malfunction in Butte Hall. “Four individuals stuck, started from 1st floor, possibly stuck at 4th, headed to 5th or 6th floor. Officer will advise electrician to go to Butte. Reporting party stated elevator just opened, all occupants are out but to have it looked at. Advised elevator is not working again, electrician has been advised. Butte elevator #2 is out of order until otherwise noted.”

    2:06 p.m.: Medical emergency, non-alcohol in Colusa Hall. “Person fainted, reporting party had no further information. Medics requested through Chico Police Department dispatch. Medics at the scene. Female transported to Enloe Medical Center.”

    8:10 p.m.: Suspicious subject in Meriam Library breezeway. “White male adult, wearing black jacket, carrying a clipboard harassing patrons for signatures. Subject moved along—did not have permit—will obtain one tomorrow.”
