    The Chico State women’s basketball team knocked down the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos Saturday 63-61.

    In the first half, the ‘Cats controlled the tempo and cruised to a 29-24 lead at halftime.

    In the second half, things intensified as both teams traded baskets, but the Wildcats stood tall and knocked off the top ranked broncos 63-61.

    Leading the way for the ‘Cats was senior guard Jazmine Miller with 21 points, five rebounds and two assists. Senior guard Courtney Hamilton added 12 points with seven rebounds and four assists.

    The Wildcats finished the season 18-8 and 14-8 in conference play and now are awaiting tournament play.
