Andrew Garfield: the true Spider-Man

Andrew Garfield is my bae, and if he and Emma Stone weren’t absolutely perfect together I’d be on him faster than a 13-year-old girl on Justin Bieber.

So when I heard that Spider-Man might be released from the clutches of Sony Pictures long enough for him to make an appearance in Marvel’s upcoming movie “Avengers: Infinity War,” I was so excited.

That is, until I heard that if the deal did go through, the producers would be casting a completely different actor to play Spider-Man, not Andrew Garfield, who’s the current title holder.

While the deal hasn’t been finalized yet and there are a lot of conflicting articles about its status, I’m already mad.

Not only are they dissing my bae, but I personally think that they can’t do any better than Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man.

All of my undying love for him aside, he really has done an amazing job as your friendly neighborhood webslinger. He’s nerdy, dorky and adorable all at the same time, while still holding on to a little bit of a cool factor that Spider-Man seems to have in the comics.

And don’t forget the sarcasm. I don’t know what it is, but the bae seems to just pull off that “small knives” scene so well in the first Amazing Spider-Man film.

For me, Andrew Garfield is like Robert Downey Jr. playing Tony Stark. He is Peter Parker, and I don’t think anyone can ever replace him.

On the plus side, at least Tobey Maguire won’t be returning as Spider-Man, which is good because he’s the only one whose cry face is worse than Kim Kardashian’s.
