Day of the Dead art gallery comes to Chico Art Center

Located off of Orange Street, the Chico Art Center is displaying art from various artists for Day of The Dead until Nov. 13. Artist Victor Porter gives his perspective on his art piece that's displayed in the gallery and what Day of The Dead means to him.

The Chico Art Center honors its members with its annual artist's choice exhibition. The Chico Art Center's annual "Member Showcase" opened Friday with a warm reception from both artists and art lovers. An acoustic guitar player sang folk songs while dozens of attendees drank wine, ate cheese and chatted with each other about the medley of artwork presented.
