    Knife incident at Peet’s Coffee and Tea

    Chico Police:

    2:07 p.m.: Burglary in progress on Channel View Lane. “Reporting party advising she arrived home and saw that a suspect had broken windows to make an entry. She entered through the garage door, suspect fled through the front door. Suspect fled in a smaller hatchback vehicle. Jewelry, bottle of prescription medicine, and a file cabinet of personal documents were missing.”

    4:41 p.m.: Knife incident at Peet’s Coffee and Tea on Main Street. “Known transient was on the patio and created a disturbance with another customer. Subject brandished a knife to the victim after subject was told to smoke off the patio. Subject fled towards 7-11.”

    9:11 p.m.: Suspicious circumstances at Cedar Parks Apartments on North Cedar Street. “Reporting party reported that he was drinking with friends last night ‘in the avenues.’ He didn’t drink enough to be out of it but woke up without pants or underwear on. Says he had some blood on him and his pants were wet. Reporting party seems mostly concerned that he get a test to see if he was drugged.”

    University Police:

    8:07 p.m.: Suspicious subject in Bell Memorial Union. “Male subject with long hair, beard and dark clothes sitting on the floor by newspapers, making a mess and yelling. Officer out with subject, moved along.”
