A Cal Poly San Luis Obispo student went missing during Sunday’s Labor Day float, police said today.

Brett Olson, 20, was last seen 1 p.m. Sunday when he got separated from his friends at Beer Can Beach, said Glenn County Undersheriff Rich Warren.

He came to the Sacramento River to celebrate the holiday with friends from Chico State, Warren said. Olson is white and has short, dark hair. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

Police encourage anyone who has seen Olson to call the Chico Police Department at 530-897-4900.
