<strong>Softball</strong>

The Chico State softball team suffered two emotional losses to rival school UC Davis in their last doubleheader of the season, ending with a record of 24-31, 13-19 CCAA. Davis ended the season on a seven game winning streak to take the conference title.

Chico lost the opening game 5-0 and the second 8-1.

In the opening game, Chico and Davis battled hard, holding a shutout game until the fourth inning when Davis capitalized on Chico errors.

Senior pitcher Leah Hubble pitched solid until the fourth inning.

Chico had four errors and one hit by freshman Bridgette Overstreet in the game.

The second game had only one highlight, an RBI single by Ali Fritz that scored Overstreet for the lone Chico run. Chico had three errors and six hits.
