    Chico Police:

    Sunday, 7:19 p.m.: Hit and run on Floral Avenue. “Female lying in the middle of the roadway, passersby talking to her. Unknown what occurred, if traffic related or a medical emergency. Language barrier with female. Victim transported to Enloe to meet brother who speaks English. Witness at the scene advising a white SUV was leaving area. Victim has moderate injuries.”

    Sunday, 8:45 a.m.: Stabbing at Arabian Nights on Broadway Street. “Occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. Victim has injury to right hand, going into surgery. Victim advised to nurse that he, a friend and 2 girls were out last night when they were approached by a group that was provoking them to fight. Subjects swung at victim and friend but they didn’t engage. Didn’t realize at the time that he had been cut, damaging a tendon.”

    Sunday, 6:20 p.m.: Suspicious subject at Caper Acres. “Subject carrying an 18-inch knife in a sheath on his side. Walking around, not threatening anyone. Reporting party does not think it’s appropriate in the park. Second reporting party advising subject is near the castle with 2 or so other people. Says subject has knife in hand but is still sheathed. Subject leaving on bike path. Officer out with subject, subject counseled.”

    University Police:

    Sunday, 1:09 a.m.: Fire incident on bike path. “Checking on a grass fire on the bike path behind BCP. Advising small mattress burning, attempting to extinguish it. Fire is extinguished, mattress is smoldering. Fire department on scene.”

    Sunday, 3:25 p.m.: Suspicious subject at bike racks near Bell Memorial Union. “While male juvenile with a bike. Called mom who advised he has juvenile warrant. Warrant confirmed. No fresh charges, booked in juvenile hall on warrant.”
