    Suspect steals laptop and half a bottle of wine

    University Police Department:

    Friday, 2:52 a.m.: Welfare check at Normal Street Bar. “Officer initiated activity at West Third street and Normal avenue. Checking on one laying down in doorway of old Normal Street Bar.”

    Friday, 7:44 a.m.: Welfare check under tree. “Occurred at Siskiyou Hall. Male subject, dark hair, blue flannel shirt lying under the tree sleeping. East side of Siskiyou Hall near barrier arm. No animals.”

    Friday, 4:20 p.m.: Narcotics violation at Student Health Center. “Four males in their late 20s to mid 40s, all in dark clothing loitering between the raquet ball courts and the health center. The oldest male has on a white baseball cap. Subjects didn’t look like students and seemed out of place.”

    Saturday, 2:03 a.m.: Assault at fraternity house. “Occurred at Sigma Nu on West Eighth street. Chico Police Department advising three white male adults were throwing rocks at the house and hit one subject in the head. Medics en route. Reporting party advising the subjects are all wearing black t-shirts, one wearing black shorts and the other two wearing tan shorts.”

    Saturday, 3:23 a.m.: Suspicious subject with bike. “Occurred at Mechoopda Hall. Primary staff advising suspicious male seen leaving the bike racks. Reporting party advising male was walking a bike and is described as wearing all black with a hoodie that was covering his face.”

    Saturday, 8:28 p.m.: Staff doesn’t have alarm code. “Occurred at Meriam Library. Staff advising someone went through wrong door in the laptop lounge on first floor and alarm is sounding. Staff does not have alarm code to reset and is requesting officer assistance.

    Chico Police Department:

    Friday, 6:08 a.m.: Woman hears threatening whispers. Reporting party was outside getting ready to leave for work and heard a male voice say ‘Hey, I’m going to kill you.’ Reporting party returned inside and locked her door. Nothing seen, voice heard near the blue van and chain link fence. Reporting party called back, stating her neighbor was making the statements and playing around with a friend who was also outside.”

    Friday, 6:44 a.m.: Suspect threatens reporting party with knife. Subject refusing to leave again, making threats to harm reporting party who has a restraining order on subject. Subject threw her dog across the room. Subject making death threats. Subject left on a bike. Reporting party calling back, suspect has returned and threw a knife in her face – opened the knife in her face while calling her a bitch. Suspect has the knife in his pocket and stating he is trying to pack his stuff to leave.”

    Friday, 7:47 a.m.: Stolen Apple laptop and wine. “Occurred sometime overnight. Entry through dining room window. Loss of Apple MacBook Pro and other miscellaneous items. Suspect also opened a bottle of wine and drank half of the bottle.”

    Saturday, 10:20 a.m.: Subject refuse to return scooter. “Reporting party loaned his red scooter to female. She refused to return it. Reporting party needs scooter for his disability. Officer spoke to the female who has the scooter and she said she is on the bike path near Rio Lindo avenue en route to the reporting party’s residence with the scooter.”

    Saturday, 11:44 a.m.: Subject’s pants keep falling. “Subject continues to walk in circles in the area, in and out of traffic. Subject appears very out of it. Subject’s pants keep falling to the ground. Unknown if he is doing that intentionally.”

    Saturday, 7:03 p.m.: Female upset at grandson washing her china. “71-year-old left on foot around 3:30 p.m. She was upset when she left and didn’t take her cell phone or dog. Female got upset over grandson washing her china. Family has called her friends and they haven’t seen her.”
