Chico State wins Rock Barn Invitational

The Chico State men’s golf team won its second tournament of the fall season on Tuesday, taking the Rock Barn Collegiate Invitational in North Carolina. The Wildcats finished 14-over par, five shots ahead of the next best team.

Lee Geahart won the individual tournament title, shooting scores of 68 and 71 to finish 5-under par for a five-shot victory.

Senior Zachary Sardina moved up 19 spots to claim a tie for 14th place, his first top-20 finish as a Wildcat.

Justin Wiles shot a 7-over par for 22nd, while Alistair Docherty tied for 25th and Ryan Roodzant took 41st in the 104-player field.

This was Chico State’s final tournament of the fall season. The team will resume play in the spring.
