The men’s team finished in second against non Division I teams and finished third among the entire field.

The women’s team turned heads by winning the non-Division I portion of the 6-kilometer Stanford Invitational. The cross-country team as a whole competed extremely well and did not disappoint.

A handful of standout ’Cats were Isaac Chavez, who finished sixth overall, Johnny Sanchez who finished ninth, Ayla Granados who finished second for the women and Sara Mikesell who finished fourth.

Chico State will compete at the Triton Classic in La Jolla Oct. 12.
