Chico Performances offers free tickets to volunteers

Chico Performances offers free tickets to volunteers

Chico Performances needs volunteers on a monthly basis to hang posters in local establishments, and volunteers can receive free tickets for their efforts.

“Students will come to the University Box Office to retrieve the posters. There are 11 different routes,” said Kristen Warshaw Chico Performances marketing assistant.

Each route takes approximately one hour to complete and volunteers distribute to 15 businesses. Places include local downtown eateries such as Celestino’s, Tres Hombres, Pita Pit, Raw Bar and Thai Basil.

There are 70 volunteers currently but they are looking for as many people as possible to spread the word within the community.

“These performances aren’t just interest for students but for the whole Chico community,” said Warshaw.

Each student that partakes in helping will receive a ticket to his or her choice of performance. However, some plays are excluded.

“Every route you make you get one ticket to a show of your choice on a set list. Excluded shows include ones that are most likely to sell out,” said Warshaw.

Interested students should contact Chico Performances marketing at 530-898-6785.
