Study Break: Lana Del Rey’s “Honeymoon” album review

    Lana_Del_Rey_-_Honeymoon_(Official_Album_Cover).png

With a haunting voice, Lana Del Rey recently released her new album “Honeymoon.”

Here are the tracks worth listening to and the ones to skip.

    Listen to:

    “High By The Beach”

A pop-ish single with the catchy chorus, “All I wanna do is get high by the beach.” “High By The Beach” is a great song to sing along with.

    “Art Deco”

Disguising itself as another song with a catchy chorus, “Art Deco” is a deep mediation on wanting more than the weekend club scene.

    “God Knows I Tried”

As the most sober song on the album, this song will break hearts.

    Skip:

    “Freak”

With a cry for people to join her in the “strange” land of California, this song is freakishly not good.

    “Burnt North”

“Time-present and time-past are both perhaps present in time-future and time-future contained in time-past.”

Sometimes you just a want song and not a philosophical T.S. Elliot poem.

    “Salvatore”

Best described as whimsical nonsense, this song is out of step with the rest of the album and is completely skippable.

    Bonus listen to:

    “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”

It’s hard for a cover to be better than the original song, but the soul in “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” makes the song a must listen.

You must have disgraceful taste if you thought ANY songs were skippable
