Local bars bring charm, fun to Chico

Sierra Nevada Brewing Company – 1075 E. 20th St.
The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company has been providing delightful experiences to members of the Chico community since 1979. It provides daily tours of its brewery, puts on multiple concerts a month and has a restaurant and taproom that serves food grown entirely from its own gardens.

Madison Bear Garden – 316 W. 2nd St.

This downtown family-friendly restaurant becomes a 21-and-over party palooza when the clock strikes 9 p.m. They host special events such as:

  • Monday Night Bear-E-Oke– karaoke starting at 9 p.m.
  • Tuesday Night Bear Wear– discount for wearing apparel from Madison Bear Garden
  • Wednesday Night Trike Races– tricycle races starting at 10 p.m.

Riley’s Bar and Grill – 702 W. 5th St.

Riley’s Bar and Grill has been around since 1987 and was established by two Chico residents who wanted to create a full party experience at their bar. The bar are known for Power Hour, which offers drinks for only 50 cents on Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
