Interim Provost and vice president for academic affairs Susan L. Elrod will her leave position at Chico State on March 30 to start her new career as the Chancellor of academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on April 15.

“It’s (UW-Whitewater) a great university,” said Elrod. “It’s very similar to Chico State and I know I’ll be moving to a university that also focuses on student success.”

Elrod served as the Dean of the college of science and mathematics at Fresno State before arriving at Chico State in 2014 to being her current position.

“I’m going to miss all the great people I’ve been working with this past year from the staff to the faculty to the students, but I am looking forward to the snow.”
