The Chico State softball team won the second game of their Feb. 13 doubleheader against the Sonoma State Seawolves, 5-0.

The win brings the Wildcats’ record to 2-2 in their conference.

The second game was all Wildcats.

Junior designated player Cyrena Taylor doubled in the top of the second inning to pull the Wildcats ahead and came around to score on a pair of Sonoma State errors. In the top of the fourth, she hit her first career home run, giving the Wildcats a 2-0 lead.

Doubling its advantage in the top of the fifth with bases loaded, senior catcher Brynn Lesovsky had a single down the left field line to knock in first-years Rachel Dehart and Ari Marsh to bring the score to 5-0.
