Jointly held by the Chico Women’s Club and Pleasant Valley High School students, an environmental protection-themed catwalk will be held on April 10 at the Chico Women’s Club on 592 E. Third St.

Over 60 students from Pleasant Valley High School are going to take part in this catwalk wearing the clothes made and designed by themselves with old newspapers, books, adhesive tapes and tree branches.

Reta Rickmers got the inspiration for this activity through the presentation of green clothes on TV.

“I hope these waste materials can have second lives in our hands,” Rickmers said.

Ticket prices for the event are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Clothes exhibited at the fashion show will not be for sale.
