The Associated Students held a meeting Feb. 27 and discussed the upcoming budget.

Four main points were discussed during the meeting:

  • Proposal to suspend Sustainability Financial Allocation Committee funding for Spring 2017
  • Renovations to the Financial Services/Wildcat Leadership Center office
  • Bell Memorial Union and Wildcat Recreation Center income summary and expense statements
  • Budget updates for 2017-2018

While the SFAC funding vote was postponed until further information is obtained,
renovations are discussed for the BMU offices that may introduce new space for the building.

“We are not really thinking that there will be huge additions to the program, it’s really keeping our programs maintained and running at the level that we want them to run so that’s really where we are with the budget, but the good news is that the student union is in good shape financially,” said David Buckley, Executive Director of the Associated Students.
