The O-Face: How to get rid of hickeys

It’s sensual as your partner kisses your neck the night before, but what you realize early in the morning as you get ready to start the day, is a huge atrocity sitting right in everyone’s view.

Don’t stress. Here are five ways to get rid of the pesky hickey and avoid all of those questions about who you were with the night before:

1. Tea Bag

Use a moist tea bag as a warm compressor. It won’t disappear immediately but if you keep using it, it will slowly start to fade away. Just be careful of the tea dripping on you. My advice is wear a towel or an old T-shirt.

2. Frozen Spoon

Place the spoon in the freezer for about five minutes and then cover the whole hickey with it. If you don’t cover the whole hickey, you could be sporting a weird looking mark on your neck.

3. Hot Towel

Now that you have frozen your hickey with the spoon, take a towel and soak it in hot water, rinse it and apply to the infected area. Voila! it disappears like magic, but please be careful not to burn yourself.

4. Concealer

It might not take the hickey away but it sure as hell disguises it. Make sure to use just enough to cover the hickey and make sure to blend it in. It’s a quick, less painful temporary fix.

5. Tuna

Before you laugh out loud at this suggestion, let me tell you I have used this method and it works. Every. Single. Time. Open a can and put a coating of tuna over the hickey. Leave the it on for about 10 minutes, then use a hair dryer to heat the tuna for about 5 minutes. Take a sponge and wash everything off, then watch as the hickey disappears like magic.

Hickeys are a nuisance for everyone and wearing clothing to cover it up is not always the best way to hide it. These methods will save you from marks reminding you of the night before.

Now you won’t have to tell everyone you burnt yourself with the straightener that morning.

The coin remedy works really well! After scrapping the coin from the inside of the hickey towards the out for a few minutes it instantly began to fade and became near invisible, now I’m going to try soothing it with some aloe or cocoa butter to finish it off..thanks for the tips.

This method definitely helps to break up and spread the blood around, making it easier for your body to clear away the signs of the hickey.Take a stiff-bristled toothbrush (you can substitute with a comb) and ‘brush’ the hickey. Make sure you apply pressure, but not too much as you can end up scratching the area or causing more damage and swelling. Some people use vibrating toothbrushes. After doing this for five to ten minutes, apply a cold compress for ten minutes and then repeat as necessary. I suggest from the home remedies site that have a plenty of remedies to get rid of hickeys : https://www.100homeremedies.com/home-remedies-for-hickies.html

So my ex gave me a huge hickey and I had a thing with a guy, so I was dying my hair and I happened to just try to put the hair dye on it (I know it’s bad for your skin) but kept it on for about 20 mins and the hickey was completely gone!
