Former AS Executive Vice President Alisha Sharma announced her position as the AS President Monday.

In an email to the Chico State student body, Sharma confirmed that she will be taking over the role of president due to Dylan Gray’s resignation

Gray announced his resignation in an email earlier this month, citing his need to focus on academics. According to the Associated Students office policies, the current AS executive vice president automatically assumes this position.

“I am extremely eager and excited to represent the student body for the remainder of this academic year,” said Sharma.

Sharma encourages students to fill out an application for the vacant position of AS Executive Vice President.

“I encourage each of you to explore this possibility and share the opportunity widely among your network of friends,” said Sharma.

Applications for the position are available at the Government Affairs Office located in Bell Memorial Union, Room 220, and are due Feb. 5.
