Shooting at Chico residence under investigation

Police found evidence of a home shooting after receiving reports of shots being fired Sunday.

According to a Chico Police Department press release, the first call was made at approximately 3:24 a.m to the area of Terrace Drive and East 1st Avenue. After a citizen called about hearing multiple gunshots, officers checked the area but found no evidence of shots being fired in the area.

Police stated that they received a second call at 6:19 a.m from a resident on the 100 block of Terrace Drive, who awoke to find multiple bullet holes in the side of their home. The residents were home at the time of the shooting, but nobody was injured.

This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Chico Police at (530) 897-4900.
