Chico State Volleyball gains momentum and accomplished two consecutive wins by beating out the California State Monterey Bay Otters 3-1 on Saturday.

The Wildcats made it look easy in the first set beating the Otters 25-11. While the second set made Chico State feel the intensity, they still managed to finish off the set 25-20. The Otters made a comeback in the third set and beat Chico 21-25. With a strong finish Chico takes the last set with an impressive score of 25-14.

“I think that Monterey Bay brought the fire and spirit but our physicality ultimately shut them down,” Junior Brooke Fogel said.

The Wildcats look forward to take on San Francisco State University at Acker Gymnasium on Friday Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.

“As far as energy, spirit and communication we’re definitely going to do the same thing we did tonight,” Fogel said.
