On your way up to the Buttes you'll also pass Penny, one of the largest cows you'll ever see.
The day gets hotter and brighter as the group stretches out while we make our way back down the Sutter Buttes.
Making sure to not wear ourselves out too much, Charlie shared some details about the surrounding valleys.

Vultures are a common sight, with the occasional eagle gliding overhead as well.
To the left of the path is the house Charlie built for himself and his family. Their home sits right at the base of the Sutter Buttes, seen in the background.
This doeling was less than six months old, and made plenty of faces for the camera.
