Finals are just around the corner, and whether you’re slammed with assignments or just nervous about grades, it’s important to take a step back, and breathe.
There are many ways to take a study break and stay warm while it’s chilly outside. Either on or off campus, there is something for everyone.
On campus study breaks:
- Monday:
- Gentle Yoga on the Lawn from 10-10:45 a.m. on Trinity Lawn
- Tuesday:
- Sound Bowl Meditation from 4:10-4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday:
- Gentle Yoga at The Well from 9:30-10 a.m.
- Chair massages from noon to 2 p.m.
- Thursday:
- Wags 4 Wellness from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
- Finding your calm: a self care shop from 2:30-4 p.m.
- Friday:
- Guided meditation from 11:40 a.m. to noon
The Well offers other amenities outside of scheduled activities, such as nap pods and a schoolwork-free environment.
The Wildcat Recreation Center offers group exercises and a great way for students to relax and get away from the stress of schoolwork in a healthy way.
The WREC has a variety of exercise classes, ranging from pilates to rhythmic spin classes, taught daily to fit in with busy schedules. Each class and time can be found in the WREC Calendar.
If you’re looking for a warm beverage to soothe the chill of the weather outside and bring some comfort to the stressful week, you can visit the on-campus cafes, such as Lovebird, Common Grounds or the Wildcat Den.
You can find Lovebird located on the first floor of the BSS building, with many options for seating around the pop-up.
Common Grounds is found inside of the Bell Memorial Union and serves Peet’s Coffee.
The Wildcat Den is next to the Éstom Jámani Dining Center,
which offers different foods, pastries and coffee with seating inside.
Put yourself first during finals season — It’s hard to operate efficiently feeling burnt-out and drained.
