    Chico Police:

    3:56 p.m.: Suspicious circumstances at Weymouth Way. “Reporting party got a call from his teenage kids at home reporting a white male adult in a yellow construction vest rang the doorbell, when the kids did not answer, he tried the door knob. Reporting party called neighbor who advised the subject appeared to be going door to door, and has left home for now.”

    5:45 p.m.: Suspicious circumstances at Best Buy on Forest Avenue. “Two males in the store tried to activate mobile phone, went through 5 different social security numbers before they got a correct one. They were unable to activate the phone as they didn’t have the money needed for payment. They exited the store and walked to the sidewalk behind Starbucks and got into a newer black Chevy Malibu.”

    10:14 p.m.: Drunk in public at Graduate gardens Apartments on West Sacramento Avenue. “Reporting party was sitting in her vehicle with her friend when a male approached her vehicle and opened her door. Reporting party started yelling at him and he just stood and stared at reporting party. Officer out with subject at the front of the complex. Subject detained.”

    University Police:

    9:29 a.m.: Recycling issue at University Village on Nord Ave. “Subject in the garbage, white male adult riding a bike. No dumpster near building, unable to locate so far. Subject gone on arrival at UV but south on Nord, no further action.”

    2:03 p.m.: Grand theft at First and Ivy Streets. “Reporting party caught someone trying to steal bike near Holt Hall. Chased suspect down and obtained it back. Reporting party has video of subject. Will return to provide bike.”
