    Stab victim rides away on BMX bike

    Chico Police:

    9:39 a.m.: Stabbing at the Regal Inn on Esplanade. “Transient came out of one of the rooms screaming someone cut him. Victim rode away on a BMX bike northbound on Esplanade. Reporting party suspects other transients to be inside the building. Officers investigating, so far unable to locate any evidence of stabbing at this time.”

    10:52 a.m.: Suspicious circumstances at Enloe Medical Center on Esplanade. “Subject entered emergency room and asked about being treated for a stab wound and if the police department would be called. Reporting party said yes and subject fled on a BMX bike. Probably associated with call from Regal Inn.”

    7:32 p.m.: Shots seen on Roxbury Court. “Reporting party just shot at a dog (missed he thinks) and two rounds into the ground. No humans injured. Loose dog ran into reporting party’s front yard and was charging reporting party and his kids. Reporting party has the handgun in his back pocket, says he has registration and will secure the gun if instructed.”

    University Police:

    9:55 a.m.: Suspicious subjects in Performing Arts Center. “Reporting party reports 3 white male adults wandering through the building and came into prop room. He confronted them and they said they were just walking through the building. Reporting party then followed them from the building where they were trying door handles as they left. They left in a white Dodge Charger, be on the lookout issued to officers. Vehicle just pulled into lot, 3 students were identified. Advised they were just exploring killing time.”

    1:19 p.m.: Battery reporting on Cedar Street. “Reporting party assaulted at a party this past weekend. Now at the Student Health Center.”
