In the constant fight for sustainability, the protest group Forest Ethics has taken up an interesting way to help protect Sierra Pacific land outside of Redding. The Carolers to End Clear Cutting has been organized to use Christmas carols to protest the clear cutting that endangers forests and the creatures that inhabit them. Sierra Pacific Industries, which is the largest private land owner in California, plans to cut 1 million acres of forests within the next 10 years.
