The Wildcats held off a late serge from Cal State L.A. to extend their win streak to six with a final score of 64-59.

The ‘Cats went up early in the first half and never let the lead go. Going into halftime the Wildcats led 33-21. Cal State L.A. came roaring back in the second half, actually outscoring Chico State 38-31.

Free throws from senior guard Mike Rosaroso and sophomore guard Robert Duncan helped seal the win for the ‘Cats.

Duncan led Chico State in points with 12, including 10 in the games last 12 minutes.

Senior forward Jordan Semple finished with a double-double, scoring 10 and leading the team with 10 rebounds. Semple also passed his former teammate, Amir Carraway to move into ninth all time on Chico State’s career scoring list.

The win puts the Wildcats at 10-3 in conference and keeps them in a three-way tie for first in the conference. It also extends their win streak to six and puts them above .500 at home, for the first time this season.

The ‘Cats look to keep their winning streak alive against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday night.
