“Last year, we did the Oktoberfest event and with the money from that, we made a replica of the fall of the Berlin wall for its 25th anniversary. Last semester, we just did grilling and a German cooking demonstration event, so we do one fundraising event and one free cultural event each semester.” —Scott Wylie and Karanda Hyatt, German Club members

“We’re building a race car for the school. We have competitions; we compete against 80 other colleges in June. This is our second car, we got 39th place at competition last summer. It runs off a 600 CCGSXR engine, it’s fuel injected and it makes 78-horse power in 36-foot pounds of torque. We built the whole thing ourselves. I welded the frame personally.” —Sam Rabellino, Formula SAE member
