The first meeting of the committee for finding Zingg’s replacement will be from 1-3 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Laxson Auditorium.

Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting, which will include reviewing the role of the committee as well as receiving comments and discussing desirable traits of the next president.

Trustee Douglas Faigin will chair the committee.

Advisory committee members include University Advisory Board representative Farshad Azad, Academic Senate Chair Elizabeth Boyd, Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro and Associated Students President Deanna Jarquin.

Advisory member Farshad Azad said he is honored to have been chosen by the chancellor and board of trustees to be on the board.

“My job is to provide the best advice based on what we ascertain from the community and Chico State,” Azad said. “My opinion is totally irrelevant to the game, I’m more interested in finding out what elements both our campus and community are looking for in our next president.”

The open forum can be streamed live at http://calstate.edu/livestream. People unable to attend can email suggestions to [email protected].
