The Torres Shelter has been providing housing and support for homeless men, women, and children since 2003. Amid their current financial crisis, the Orion went inside and toured the shelter to take a look at the facilities and services they provide for the community. No pictures of the guests were taken to provide anonymity.

The entrance to the Torres Shelter located at 101 Silver Dollar Way. The shelter is one of the biggest in Northern California. Throughout the course of the year they serve more than 700 people.

    thats a shame! Where are the people who’ve fallen on hard times, going to find shelter and food?
