A one-day event will try bringing relief to Butte County homeless.

On April 27, the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds will host Project Homeless Connect, an event that includes volunteers and community organizations coming together to bring hundreds of free and necessary services to the Butte County homeless population.

The goal of this event is to help solve some of the issues that prevent homeless people from getting off the streets.

Some of the services provided on this day are medical and dental check ups, mental health services, haircuts and grooming, housing applications, veteran services, clothing and valid California ID’s (for use in applying for jobs and housing).
