The five parallel parking spaces in front of Notre Dame School on Hazel Street will be converted to 10 diagonal parking spaces.

Chico City Hall is adding the spaces because of complaints from teachers at Notre Dame School.

The new parking spaces will be helpful for those teachers who park blocks away because of the lack of parking in the busy student living area.

The spaces will have time limits, but will not be metered.

Chico City Hall is expected to complete the new parking spaces by the end of the month.
