Chico Police arrest 11 in 24 hours

The Chico Police Department arrested 11 people for driving under the influence between April 23 and 24 according to a police press release.

In the press release, 10 suspects were arrested during routine DUI checks over the weekend. The drivers, Cesar Serrato, Matthew Wright, James Endicott, Gary Beckman, Victor Duarte, Matthew Parker, Derrik Smith, Gregory Clayton, Donatien Tshibuabua and Michael Rawlins, have all been charged with a misdemeanor.

The remaining suspect, Jace Claytor, caused a car accident that resulted in the injury of three people, including a pregnant woman. The accident happened around 11:53 p.m. on Saturday at 231 W. Ninth Street. All victims received treatment for minor injuries at Enloe Hospital. Claytor is charged with a felony.
