Chico State student Ashlynn Ramirez earned a Cafe Bustelo El Cafe Del Futuro Scholarship of $5,000.

Through the Del Futuro Scholarship Cafe Bustelo, a Latin coffee brand, aims to improve the lives of Latinx students through scholarships like this one to help Ramirez advance in her educational journey.

Scholarships were awarded in partnership with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). In addition to the scholarship, each student received a gift pack inclusive of brand swag, product and a Keurig Single Serve Coffee Maker.

Ramirez was one of 20 recipients from across the nation totaling $100,000 given to students to help further their educations.

To be considered, Ramirez was asked to describe how her Latino heritage, family and the community she grew up in impacted her desire and motivation to receive a college degree.

Cafe Bustelo sought out students who were highly motivated with a passion for their community and their education.
