On Feb. 9, a 54-year-old Chico resident was found dead at the bus stop located near the Chico Cemetery on Mangrove Avenue. 

According to the Chico Police Department’s press release, Chico Fire & Rescue received a phone call around 1 p.m. indicating a possible medical issue.

When the paramedics arrived, it was determined that Chico resident Bruce Bewley “had expired,” declared the press release.

“There were no signs of criminality and the death appeared to be from natural causes,” stated the press release.
