After three months, the Chico State women’s golf team is
picking up right where it left off as they take on their first event of the
spring.
The women are in sixth place after the opening round of the St. Mary’s Lady Rattler Invitational at Dominion Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas.
In Monday’s round, the Wildcats shot a collective 33-over par 321.
Heather Fegley is on the individual leaderboard for the ‘Cats with a 6-over par 78. Dani O’Keefe is tied for 14th place carding 7-over par 79. Sarah McComish, Abbey McGrew and Spencer Downey are also competing to keep Chico State ahead of three nationally ranked teams.
Chico State is short five shots of third place as they head into Tuesday’s final round of 36 holes.
