The Orion

Shae Pastrana, Reporter

After two enrolled semesters with The Orion, I’m now a volunteer reporter. A Louisiana native with a background in environmental science and regenerative agriculture, I’m a senior with a major in journalism and minor in broadcasting. Much of my writing is influenced by my fascination with communities that’s resulted from years of traveling across the nation and beyond. On the side, I’m usually cooking, involved in art projects, crafting herbal products, reading, writing, gardening or spending time outdoors.
