A suspect and Chico police were involved in a car chase early afternoon Friday in downtown Chico.

The suspect hit third year Chico State student Mahlet Iseley’s car while she was driving.

“They side swiped my car while I was by Main and 4th street,” Iseley said.

The police stopped the suspect by ramming into his car in front of the Center of Economic Development right before the street merges into Esplanade.

The length of the chase is unknown at this time.
