Chico Performances welcomes the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers at 7:30 p.m. April 10 at Laxson Auditorium.

Combining the traditional Scottish sound of fiddles with pipes, guitars, piano and percussion, the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers deliver a show that is at once beautiful and rousing.

Formed in 1986, the group consists of more than 200 musicians who meet monthly to enjoy “sharing the music [they] love.”

The group is led by acclaimed fiddler Alasdair Fraser and provides a fun, high-energy performance that will make the audience want to play, sing or dance along.

Don’t miss this show that the San Francisco Chronicle calls “A raucous sampling of authentic music from the highlands and islands of Scotland.”

Tickets can be purchased online or at the University Box Office.
