Stoplight down in evening collision

An intersection collision on West First and Ivy streets early Sunday morning destroyed a stoplight.

No Chico State students were involved and no major injuries were reported, according to Chico Police officers on the scene.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 am.

A four-door sedan was traveling northbound on Ivy Street and struck a yellow cab.

There was no evidence of alcohol involved, according to Chico Police.

Saturday afternoon, a four-car collision occurred on the intersection at Ninth and Ivy streets.
