Requests of public information on the Oroville Dam incident have been released.

Assemblyman James Gallagher and Senator Jim Nielsen, publicly announced their attempts to increase transparency in regards to the Oroville Dam incident.

According to a public post on Facebook, Gallagher mentions that both congressmen attempted for the past few weeks to obtain updated reports with details on the recovery efforts at the Oroville Dam.

The requests of information were sent to the Department of Water Resources and the administration regarding reports, communications and documents relating to the incident. The requests were blocked.

A second report by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Board of Consultants was blocked from public access by the Department of Water Resources.

Gallagher and Nielsen sent a letter to Gov. Jerry Brown and Secretary John Laird to obtain access to public information and to increase transparency on the subject. Their efforts were successful.

Public Information on the current state of Oroville Dam can be found online.
