Million dollar construction project continues

Construction project continues to cause detours and delays on the intersections of Ivy street, East 8th and East 9th streets, near ABC market.

The project cost a total estimate of 1,500,000 dollars.

Butte County has funded this project that is trying to install new traffic signals on the intersection of both East 8th and 9th street, to prevent accidents at both intersections.

Lane and shoulder restrictions are expected along with road closures between 8th and 10th streets down Ivy street. Its closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, according to Butte County workers.

Butte County also continues to work on a 4 million dollar project to apply Americans with Disability Act compliant sidewalk ramps, gutters, curbs, and driveways on East 8th, 9th and Ivy streets.

All of this construction is expected to be completed within 2017.
