Emergency services arrived on campus and took a student to Enloe Medical center after they overdosed on medication.

Chico Police Department received information that someone intentionally overdosed on medication at around 1:27 p.m.

Emergency services arrived on campus at around 2:29 p.m., between the Performing Arts Center and Arts and Humanities Building.

According to officer Lance Conlan, the student was not suicidal and took 16 pills when one was not working for them.

University Police received information from Chico Police Department that someone intentionally overdosed at one of the bathrooms at Arts and Humanities.

That person then called back the Chico Police Department and indicated that due to vomiting help was no longer needed.

UPD was able to contact the person and determined that it was not an intentional overdose.

The individual was transported to Enloe Medical Center as a precautionary measure.
